Aspirin is 2- acetoxybenzoic acid. It is very effective in reducing or abolishing pain without causing impairment of consciousness, mental confusion. incoordination or paralysis, or some other disturbance or disorder of the nervous system. It reduces fever (antipyretics) and prevents platelet coagulation. Due to, it has anti-blood-clotting action and, therefore, it is widely used to prevent heart attack.
